Ferda Ulug

Promoting local business yesterday I met with Ferda Ulug. ‘Ferd’ has been serving Coffee and food at his Cafe/restaurant, La Cucina since 2004. His first Shop was in High Street Barry and today on Holton Road. Ferd, together with his son Anthony, and his amazing staff enjoy serving the Community of Barry.
Ferd was originally born in Limassol Cyprus , he came to UK in 1965 and grew up in London where he was in the Hotel business in Baker Street London. He then began to branch out into restaurants. Ferd is very proud of his business, and the restaurant reflects the effort he has put in to it. Ferd feels very much a part of Barry stating " I do love the sense of community in Barry which in today’s world is very unique." A Year in Barry wishes Ferd and his staff a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
