Family Fun Day

Yesterday a Year in Barry attended the Family Fun Day which had been held by the Cadoxton Conservation Group. The group was founded 3 years ago by local residents Lynnette Knight and Karen Thomas. It is a voluntary group of people who are enthusiastic about the Conservation Area within the Historic Old Village of Cadoxton. They wish to protect, promote and preserve the natural environment of the whole of the Cadoxton Conservation Area especially "Little Hill Green", which they believe is a great treasure, providing a significant open space within the heart of the Village. It is of immense benefit and amenity to present and future generations of local residents and the wider community of Cadoxton and the surrounding area. Each year the group hold a Family Fun Day, to raise funds in order to continue with their community work in Cadoxton. The green open space benefits both the older generation and the children of Cadoxton where they can either sit and enjoy the tranquility of this space or play games in a safe and joyous environment.
