Christian and Carys Gronow

A year in Barry recently attended Jenner Park Football Ground, and met with Christian and Carys Gronow. Their Children Gethin 6 years, Evan 4 years and Mali 9 months have all suffered with serious heart complaints. Gethin has a hole in his heart and is awaiting surgery, Evan had a small hole in the heart which thankfully closed, and Mali it was found had four holes in her heart and has undergone two surgeries with more most likely taking place. On the same day I met with Michael lewis who's daughter Esmai was admitted into the ICU at 37 weeks and 3 days. Esmai was tested for degeorges syndrome but eventually diagnosed with charge syndrome as problems with her eye sight (no sight in left eye) also Esmai suffered with hearing loss in left ear
Every month esmai was rushed in to hospital with major breathing difficulties and stayed in on average a week at a time. Esmai had 2 operations (cleft lip correction and gastro peg inserted). On the day a Charity football match took place to raise money for the Noah's Ark hospital charity. They have managed to raise over £4000.
