Client: Barry Community Fire Station
Location: Barry

A year in Barry recently spent an evening with the Barry Community Fire Station. The station was built in 1978 and serves the Vale of Glamorgan. The staff at Barry fire station are dedicated to their primary task of making our community a safer place to live and work. In addition to ensuring that all incidents are dealt with in a sensitive and professional manner, they are active in working to prevent the occurrence of fires in the community and as such they offer a free home fire safety check to all citizens including the provision and fitting of smoke detectors. Barry Fire Station also collaborates with the local authorities, ambulance service and police in working to reduce the number of deaths and injuries on our roads. Barry fire crews have visited every school in our area in order to educate our children as to the dangers from fire in their early years through to secondary level. Barry Community Fire Station is here for your advice and protection. If you require any fire safety advice or smoke alarms fitted in your home contact them on Freephone 0800 169 1234.
